 UK Winter Tour - 2010 37 minuten geleden
  
Book early for this one. The band is now able to announce their traditional end of year UK tour. There's added significance this time as it might be the last chance for a while to catch Runrig 'live'. The band has decided to take a break from touring in 2011, in order to write, re-charge the batteries, get involved in various individual projects and to look and plan towards the next big milestone in their remarkable career - in 2013 they will be celebrating an incredible 40 years in the music industry.

The tour starts in Dumfries on Dec 8th, and heads South visiting Nottingham, Southampton, Warwick, Sheffield, Gateshead and Preston before returning to Scotland. Following a show in Dunfermline, they will end as usual at the Glasgow Barrowland on Dec 18th. Don't miss this particular 'Barras' party - it promises to be quite a night!

The England dates go on general sale on Friday 26 March.
There will be a Fan Club pre-sale on 9am Thursday 25 March.

The Scottish dates go on general sale on Friday 9 April.

2 jaar geen concerten? Ik zie alleen 2011...

Maar schrijven...batterijen opladen...klinkt erg naar een nieuwe cd! Eindelijk...
En dan die mijlpaal van 40 jaar Runrig!!!

Daar moeten we het voorlopig mee doen, tot dat de band weer terug keert op het podium. Was een mooi Runrig-jaar denk ik voor velen met de mogelijkheid om naar vele concerten te gaan - ook al moesten sommige concerten uitgesteld worden vanwege Malcolm(die schittert in het eerste gedeelte van de clip) die terug moest naar het ziekenhuis voor zijn niet goed werkende pacemaker en werden de meeste concerten later in het jaar weer ingehaald.

No panic ladies!   Ik ben het met je eens hoor Mieke, volgens mij is het alleen 2011!

   In de nieuwste Wire staat het volgende:

2011 will actually be a very positive and productive year for the band. A year to lay off the live touring, re-charge the batteries, write new material, enjoy the creative benefits of extra ciricular projects and ultimately a chance to re-group, re-invigorated in 2012, and all our thoughts will inevitably turn towards the run up to the 40 year celebrations in 2013.


While the band are taking a touring break next year, it will of course be business as usual for the office, as we prepare for 2012 and beyond.

Inderdaad gelukkig maar 1 jaar !!  

Had dat bericht in mei verkeerd geinterpreteerd.

Hoop dat ze snel komen met nieuwe toudata's zodat we het een en ander kunnen afstemmen...............

en dan natuurlijk 2013, ben benieuwd of ze dan eens onze richting eens opkomen.(zal wel niet). Heb op verzoek van Mike diverse locaties doorgegeven.................
